Meet the Team
Trainer: -Krys aka “The Sarge”
Krys served in the Royal Green Jackets from 1982 to 1988. Rank on leaving the ‘Jackets’ was an acting Sergeant.
Trainer: -Mike aka “Sir”
Mike was a serving member of her majesty’s `Royal’ Marine Commando’s, don’t ever just call him marine unless you want a beasting commando style!
Event Coordinator: -James aka “Killer”
Battlefield Live owner and event coordinator. Years of gaming and event planning experience.
Referee: -West aka “The Interrogator”
West earns his nickname because when refereeing games he has been known to take opponents hostage!
Choose your venue, either Nuthampstead Shooting Ground or AWA Herts
There are four levels of training to complete each lasting a full day and include lunch. The Basic Training Course will include:
Communications Training - Radios - Hand Signalling
Patrolling Techniques - Simple squad formations-Spacing whilst on patrol -Arcs of fire -Covering -Signaling whilst on patrol -Techniques/movement through woodland, open ground and urban
Contact Drills -How to react when enemy spotted
(Each skill/technique discussed and practiced in small groups)
In the afternoon you will be split into 2 teams for a 2 hour long mission within woodlands. The winners of this game will need a combination of good use of all the newly acquired skills, plus strong leadership, shooting ability and fast reactions to changing scenarios.
This will be followed with a debrief. Instructors will have been watching out for good use of newly acquired skills as well as the team that actually completed the most objectives.
