•IS BATTLEFIELD LIVE SAFE?

Yes, our guns only fire a safe infrared beam that is invisible to the eye and totally safe, just like a TV remote.

•DOES IT HURT WHEN YOU ARE SHOT?

No, there are no physical projectiles.

•HOW CAN YOU TELL WHEN SOMEBODY HAS BEEN HIT?

When hit a player will hear the OUCH sound effect and their gun hit points will be reduced by 1. The head sensors will also flash red to alert the player doing the shooting that they have been successful. When all hit points have been lost the gun will make an ARRRGGHHH sound effect, your display will read DEAD and the gun will deactivate. The head sensors will stay illuminated red, so other players know you are dead.

•DO YOU HAVE TO SIT OUT WHEN YOU ARE DEAD AND WAIT FOR THE GAME TO FINISH?

No, when you lose your hit points and your gun deactivates simply return to base for a rapid reset and get straight back into the thick of it.

•DO PEOPLE CHEAT?

The unique hit sensors prevent cheating. If your sensors receive a hit a life is lost, there is no way round that.

•ARE THERE ANY AGE RESTRICTIONS?

The minimum age to play is 7 years old.

•DO YOU HAVE TO WEAR ANY SAFETY EQUIPMENT?

As the guns only fire harmless infrared beams there is no need for eye protection or padding associated with other forms of combat gaming.

•WILL OUR GAME BE CANCELLED DUE TO POOR WEATHER?

The equipment can be used in virtually any type of British weather, bright, dark, warm, cold, wet or dry. We would only cancel a game if the weather was severe enough to pose a risk of injury to participants. Alternative times and dates would then be offered.

•WHAT SHOULD PARTICIPANTS WEAR ON THE DAY?

Players should wear comfortable flexible clothing that they don’t mind getting wet or possibly muddy. Combat overalls and headgear are supplied to a) add to the fantasy and b) offer a level of protection. We do advise a change of warm clothes in case of wet weather, especially in the winter months. Sturdy trainers or boots with good ankle support should be warn.

•ARE THERE ANY HIDDEN EXTRAS?

No, you can enjoy a full 2 hour game of Battlefield Live, including unlimited lives and shots for the price quoted, there are no hidden extras. You can choose to enhance the fun and excitement with the addition of smoke grenades, camo face paint, radios, trophies for the winners and other memorabilia, but these are not essential.

NOTE: Although Battlefield Live can be played at any pace, children generally play at a high tempo using lots of energy, so please make sure younger children have the option to take on fluids throughout their time with us to avoid dehydration.
